What happens to human creativity and teamwork when AI joins the room.
Generative AI is moving from tool to teammate — and that changes how people create together. My research examines what happens to human creativity and group dynamics when AI joins the room: how it reshapes co-creative roles, shifts social norms like politeness and trust, and helps or hinders collaborative ideation and participatory storytelling communities. I extend this to Human–AI Teaming in design, and to high-stakes decisions made under stress, such as emergency medical services. Running through all of it is a practical question: how do we integrate AI into creative and software-design workflows ethically — so that people and machines make each other better?
